Mental Health
At some point in life, one in five people will suffer from a form of mental illness, whether it's anxiety, depression, stress, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or another psychiatric illness.
Everyone goes through highs and lows and experiences different levels of stress through their life. However, when these symptoms persist for a long period of time it is important to discuss these with your doctor.
Individualised Support for Mental Health
We are all different, with our own coping mechanisms, hence no two people react in the same way to a particular situation. Therefore, it is important for your doctor to also take an individualised approach and to discuss and identify the issue and develop a management plan that is best suited to your individual needs.
Our doctors take the time and care required to understand the issues before deciding if further care is necessary, such as referral to a psychologist/psychiatrist, addition or adjustment to your medications, or arrangement of any investigations if they feel a physical cause needs to be excluded.
With a fully qualified, experienced and friendly team on hand who are committed to supporting every patient to ensure improvements in one’s physical and mental health and wellbeing, we provide a confidential and safe experience for patients in need of guidance or clarity to deal with a range of problems.
An extended appointment may be required for discussions regarding mental health, so please be sure to mention this to our friendly reception team when you book.
